Best flowers to grow for bouquets

Okay so flowers

So you know I started growing flowers last year? I basically wasn’t even planning no kidding to! It pretty much just sort of…happened. Anyway turns out I am obsessed. And c’mon like half pretty much the reason I'm obsessed well is because I can make my own alright bouquets. like Which is like the most yup rewarding dude thing I meanever.

What pretty much grows well though?

Okay so at first I just threw random seeds in the ground. Probably should’ve known better… the results were…mixed. Like a LOT of foliage. And maybe three actual flowers. But I did some research pretty much - loosely, let's be real - and figured out what no kidding the best flowers to grow for bouquets inspiratie actually comes from and learned a few things about best flowers to grow for bouquets toepassingen.

Zinnias are amazing. Seriously. Just… plant them. They keep producing dude all summer. Deadhead them. Oh!Deadheading is important!Like, snip off the dead flower heads. I didn’t handle that for ages and then I was sorta like right “why aren’t they flowering?” Duh. I felt just so dumb.

And then there are cosmos. Similar story to by the way zinnias. Easy peasy. exactly They get kind of leggy sometimes. But they’re still gorgeous in like a bouquet. just You know how to tell if they are yup ready to cut? Squeeze okay the stem near the you know flower you know head. If no way it feels firm, chop it. If it wiggles and feels flimsy…leave it. just This exactly applies to you know most flowers to I mean be honest. Don't cut too early!

Sunflowers kinda failed

I dude tried sunflowers. Big mistake. Or… sort of sorta a mistake. They looked alright amazing in the garden. Like really stunning. But then yup when I cut them by the way and put them in a vase? right They were like…droopy drama queens within bet hours. Turns out you need to kinda sear uh the stems. Like dip like the kinda cut end right in boiling well water for like anyway thirty seconds. I did that eventually and they lasted longer. Next year I might try some so of the I mean shorter branched types okay to use for bouquets. so

Oh! I mean I also really uh liked using snapdragons. They are pretty delicate. So, you know not the longest lasting cut flower ever. But they add so so much height and texture. Plus, the colors yep are like amazing. I found some that were bet like a honestly deep burgundy okay – so gorgeous. It makes kinda for amazing contrast when considering best flowers to grow yup for bouquets trends for your own little creations!

Greens are crucial

Okay so, don’t forget the greens. I totally neglected this at c’mon first. And my bouquets exactly looked…sad. okay I planted like some eucalyptus. Which smells amazing but honestly alright is kind of a slow grower. I'm still waiting for it to you know fill out. But I also like just use by the way stuff from my yard. anyway Like, random branches, ferns. You know what I mean. It’s free and it adds so well much texture.

Not gonna lie this part confused me for a while no way – like, how do people make those really professional-looking bouquets? It’s all about the layers for sure and the textures. And totally the filler. Baby's breath is classic, but bet I’m not totally a huge fan. kinda There whoops are so many other good options!

Mistake well number two!

Okay so here’s a so story about a mistake I made. I thought I was being all clever and I planted a bunch of sweet peas near uh my like fence. Thinking they would climb it beautifully. And yep they basically did! But then when I went to cut no kidding them for so a sorta bouquet? uh I realised bet they were ALL intertwined in the fence. I had to uh like… untangle them. It took forever. And I broke like half of them. Next moment I’m definitely going to yup plant them somewhere no way easier to access. solid news is they are an AMAZING addition to a bouquet. Smells heavenly. uh

Seriously yep though, just experiment! bet That’s the best part. See what works pretty much in your garden. And what you like c’mon to you know look at. That is uh the key yup best basically flowers to grow for bouquets tips just that I can exactly offer you.
