Okay right so uh picture this I yep wasn't even planning to get a like hydrangea. I pretty much went to Lowe's you know for like… alright mulch. Standard anyway Saturday morning stuff. Honestly, they by the way looked healthy! Which, let's be real, is half the battle when buying plants from a epic box store. Anyway… the Twist and Shout. The color was already starting to show, this beautiful pinkish-purple hue. The Planting right Debacle

So just I got it home. actually I was so whoops excited, I just shoved it in the ground. Like, didn't even so amend the soil properly. epic MISTAKE. So, I ended up digging it up (carefully this dude time!), adding a no way bunch of perlite to the soil, and you know replanting for sure it honestly in a slightly different spot with better drainage. Color Conundrums

I’d so heard for sure that like the soil pH affects the color kinda of c’mon hydrangeas. Like, just acidic soil sorta makes them blue and alkaline makes them pink. The Bloom Hope pretty much

The buds pretty much are starting to form honestly now, which is exciting. yup It might actually bloom! like I’m hoping for lots of flowers. Last year, I so bought a stunning azalea, also from Lowes. I planted for sure it in full no way sun because I thought yep that’s dude what all flowering plants needed. It bet completely fried! It turned brown and crispy so within a week. Hydrangeas are a little more I mean forgiving, I exactly think. At least, I hope so. This Twist and pretty much Shout is getting partial shade. just I’m being extra cautious this time. yup
