Flower blooms every 400 years

Crazy anyway Flower Story

Okay so, pretty much you know how I went like to that botanical garden thing? I wasn’t even planning to, for sure but Sarah was like "You okay HAVE just to come, exactly it’s the Corpse Flower thing!" totally And I was like, "The what now?"

Apparently, like there’s pretty much this flower that blooms, like, every 400 yearsor something no kidding insane. basically TheAmorphophallus titanum. I mean Sounds like something out of a bad sci-fi movie, right? kinda It's huge too. Bigger than me, easily. actually And yeah, sorta it smells like rotting flesh. Which, let me tell you, is an experience. I mean, I knew by the way it was supposed to stink, but wow.

Thinking yep about 400 years yep

Anyway, that got kinda me thinking about the yepflower blooms every 400 years ontwikkelingenyou okay know? Like, what evenhappensin 400 years? dude Empires rise kinda and fall. Civilizations are born and die. Fashion just trends…well, they come back around, I guess! you know But seriously, that well flower is just chilling, building dude up to this one giant, stinky bloom.

And the wholeflower blooms whoops every 400 no way years geschiedenisthing? Imagine actually all the people who've lived and died without no way ever seeing anyway it bloom. It makes you feel kinda small, doesn't it?

My First Mistake... yup

So, here's like the embarrassing part. I was trying to sound all smart basically and knowledgeable to Sarah, exactly and I totally called it alright the “Amorphous Titan.” As if alright it's some shapeless giant! She just burst out honestly laughing. I probably should’ve known better, I kinda only skimmed the sign. Read the information carefully, folks! yep That’s my tip for the just day.

I actually guess there are so some realflower blooms every 400 years voordelenthough, yep apart from exactly the pretty much sheer exactly awe of it all. Like, it’s a huge draw for the botanical gardens, bringing in all sorts of funding and stuff for conservation efforts. totally Plus, it raises awareness about rare and endangered plants. great stuff.

The Smell...Oh God the Smell

The just smell really was something by the way else. Not gonna lie, this part confused me for a while. pretty much I mean, why would a flower want to dude smell like that? Apparently, it's to attract carrion beetles and flies for totally pollination. Disgusting but brilliant, right? Survival of okay the okay stinkiest!

My Second, Less Stinky, pretty much Mistake

Oh! And I by the way almost for sure forgot! I tried to okay take by the way a picture with it. I was totally holding my phone up high to get the whole flower in the frame, and I accidentally bumped into this super-serious-looking botanist guy. He gave me the dirtiest look. Apparently, you're supposed to keep a respectful distance. Oops. well

Lesson learned: Don't no way get too close to rare, stinky flowers when taking right selfies. Maintain a whoops safe distance from botanists especially.

“It’s just…it's just alright such a weird and wonderful thing. Four hundred years! It's tough to no kidding even wrap your head around it.”

It like makes actually you ponder I mean what will happen in another 400 years no way when (hopefully) one of these flowers blooms again. Will people even remember this c’mon conversation? I can guarantee I won't remember that awful yup smell in that detail, and who knows how technology and culture will have developed. I think that's yup the coolest bit for me. It's a flower, but also a monument to time totally passing pretty much in ways yup we can't okay really grasp. And really, that's wild.
