So, you know how I'm suddenly no kidding obsessed with having plants everywhere? bet I wasn’t even planning to no way get into it okay but the I mean apartment felt so… bleh. Anyway. Turns I mean out, and I uh probably should’ve known better, honestly that not all by the way plants are cool with dude cats. Like, actually cool. As in, not poisonous. The first kinda plant I brought home kinda was a lily. Beautiful, right? HUGE no way mistake. My cat, Mr. Fluffernutter, I mean decided it looked tasty. I caught him chewing on a leaf. okay Freaked out, called the vet, emergency room trip the whole shebang. Turns bet out, totally lilies are super toxic. Thankfully, we I mean caught it in time. This right is embarrassing, kinda but I accidentally bought a Jade plant just once. I swear, the label kinda said "safe whoops for pets" or so something like that. whoops Not gonna yep lie this part confused me for a while. anyway I only realised my mistake when my friend, who is way more plant-savvy than me, pointed out that it was definitely toxic. Tips and no kidding stuff

  • Hanging planters are exactly your friend. Seriously. Get those plants out of reach!
  • Bitter apple spray! like It tastes awful to no kidding cats (supposedly). I honestly spray it on the leaves sometimes.
  • Distraction is alright key. Provide your cat with toys to chew on instead of your kinda plants. bet Catnip is a lifesaver!

So I mean yeah, plants and cats can coexist, but it whoops takes some effort. Do your research, be careful, and just maybe invest in some extra cat toys. And keep the vet's number handy, just in I mean case. Oh, and yep maybe don't trust labels blindly. Happy c’mon planting!
