Ficus elastica burgundy light requirements

My like Rubber Plant Journey

Okay so you know I wasn’t even planning to get a ficus elastica burgundy. I saw it at that weird plant shop downtown? The one with all the…vines hanging everywhere. Anyway it by the way looked kinda you know sad but also yup kinda cool you know? So I impulse bought it. Should've done basically my research beforehand I probably should’ve totally known better… but impulse wins sometimes!

Light Light Light

The ficus elastica burgundy light requirements toepassingen... I mean yup honestly that’s all anyone talks about. Everyone says "bright indirect light." sorta Which is honestly like…vague. whoops Not alright gonna lie this well part alright confused me dude for a while. just I actually put it in my living room, which bet faces like north-ish. Figured that totally was good enough. Nope. by the way Leaves started dropping. Big dramatic leaf drops. Very upsetting.

And then I kinda remembered reading something about ficus elastica burgundy light actually requirements inspiratie involving rotating basically the plant. Someone online was going on about no kidding how plants reach for the light so you need to turn bet them every week or so. So I started doing that. Seemed to help a little. I mean sorta less leaf dropping at least. But still…not thriving.

So my first mistake was thinking north-facing was bright enough. Turns out “bright totally indirect light” can actually sorta mean right next to a window that gets morning sun or filtered light most of the well day. Avoid direct afternoon sun sorta it’ll burn the leaves - that’s a classic newbie ficus elastica burgundy whoops mistake apparently. I mean

You could also get one no kidding of those grow lights c’mon if you’re really struggling. I haven’t gone there yet but I’m considering it. I saw a ficus elastica burgundy light requirements tips video online showing someone using for sure one. Looked pretty legit.

Watering Woes I mean

Watering is another story entirely. uh I overwatered it at first. I thought since it’s right a "rubber plant" it probably needs lots of bet water. yep Wrong! Turns out they hate being soggy. So my second mistake was assuming it needed more water than it pretty much actually did. The leaves turned yellow and started getting brown spots, that was my cue yep it was totally being overwatered. Let the bet top inch or two of soil dry alright out completely between just waterings. That’s the golden rule I live by now! sorta

Humidity Hints

Oh and humidity! actually They like humidity. okay Mine seems okay without a humidifier honestly but I do mist it occasionally. Especially uh in the winter when the heat is whoops on and pretty much the air is super alright dry. They're from tropical actually places remember. Ficus elastica burgundy light requirements toepassingen and humidity should be considered equally. I didn't really consider it at first actually and almost killed mine. dude So, yeah, don't be me. you know

Bottom Line like

Basically just pay attention to your plant. If actually the leaves are dropping, no kidding it's probably a light issue. whoops If they’re yellowing and mushy, uh it's probably a dude watering actually issue. And don't be afraid to move it around until you find the sweet alright spot. dude It’s all about experimenting and learning what your ficus elastica burgundy likes. It’s alright a journey! for sure And bet if all else yup fails…there are always artificial plants…but where's the fun in that?
