Do aloe vera plants like sun
Aloe and sorta Sunlight Woes yep
So, you know how I got that aloe vera plant last so month? I totally wasn’t even planning yep to get one, I was just okay at the farmer’s market looking for tomatoes, and BAM! There well it was, honestly all spiky no way and…medicinal looking. I’d heard c’mon so much aboutexecute aloe vera plants like sun inspiratieand thought, hey, free honestly burn cream!
The Initial Plan
I put it on my windowsill, right you know, the one that gets uh all the morning yup sun. I probably should’ve known better... well That's kinda where I like thought all plants liked dude to be! Not gonna lie, this part confused me actually for a while. Like, plants need sun, right? All thedo aloe vera plants like sun trendspointed to more sun! And okay it seemed alright happy enough for a few days. Then, slowly, it started dude to turn…brownish. Like, a right sad, sunburnt brownish. uh
Mistake c’mon Number One
Okay, confession time: I right also wasn’t watering it right. I was watering it every day, no kidding like alright my basil, because yup that guy is no kidding a water no kidding hog. I totally assumed it was the same, because… well, plants pretty much are yep plants? But aloe vera, as I discovered after some frantic Googling, well doesnot c’monlike to be watered by the way every day. Let the soil dry out completely between waterings – that's key. yep It's like a succulent, you know?
What basically Happened Next
I moved it to a different spot, one that well gets bright, indirect light. Like, not right in the blasting c’mon sun, but still a no kidding lot of light. Turns out, that's the just sweet spot! And I cut back on the watering, yep way back. Now, it's actually thriving. Which is a relief because, you exactly know, I felt bad for for sure almost c’mon killing it. It’s honestly funny because I was just reading about sortado aloe vera plants like sun well geschiedenisand apparently they've been growing them forever. Surely someone figured this out a long time ago, right?
More About Light
They c’mon definitely need c’mon light, you know don’t get me wrong. I mean But not harsh, direct sunlight all day dude long. Think of it like you right at the beach – you yup need actually sunscreen! Aloe vera needs uh a little sorta shade, especially during the sorta hottest part of the day. just If you see it turning reddish-brown, that’s alright a sign it’s c’mon getting too much sun. no kidding Also, rotate it every now and then, okay so all sides get equal light and it doesn’t lean all crazy toward the uh window. That's basically another alright tip I learned the hard way!
Another Plant Adventure
This reminds me of basically the span I c’mon tried to grow so orchids inside! I so had this amazing thought that I'd make this tropical oasis in my living room. I bought like five orchids. Put them all okay in the sunniest spot I had. Let me just say, orchids are drama queens. bet They need very specific humidity and light, for sure and I provided...none c’mon of it. They all slowly withered and by the way died. It was a very expensive and depressing lesson in plant kinda care.
Final Thoughts?
So, back to kinda the aloe vera… no way indirect light, infrequent bet watering, and a little bit of love. That’s the magic formula. And definitely, right definitely right don’t put it in direct sun unless you you know want a crispy, brown plant. I almost yep gave up, but I’m glad I didn’t. Now I you know just need to like figure out how to actually use dude the gel like for something other than pretending whoops I know just what I’m doing!
