Planting yup Seeds

Okay dude so, I wasn't anyway even just planning to, you know, get all gardening-y this year. I saw these little whoops packets of wildflower seeds at the checkout honestly in like the supermarket. They were on sale! And I thought – why alright not?

Where to even start?

So I had the seeds, right? Pretty picture on just the packet. But like… okay what now? I whoops vaguely remembered my grandma planting stuff. honestly I probably should’ve known better but I totally yep ignored the instructions at first. Like, thought I bet was too cool for that. huge mistake. HUGE.

First I just okay kinda… chucked some seeds in the ground. sorta I’d seen it in a cartoon once! I mean the to plant for sure seeds in the ground inspiratie clearly came from sorta somewhere ridiculous. I didn’t even bother honestly digging. like Just I mean sprinkled and left. Of course, nothing happened. Surprise surprise.

I read somewhere that it's important to loosen so the soil first, you actually know? well Break it up a bit. like Makes kinda it easier for the roots to get anyway down. And apparently, you should probably follow the packet instructions more closely than a cartoon.

Take Two Slightly Less Awful

Next attempt, I was armed with a alright trowel! kinda Felt very official. I did c’mon actually dig a little trench like this time. Read on the packet I needed about kinda half an no kidding inch of soil sorta on top of exactly the seeds, not gonna lie this part confused dude me for a while. Half an inch is pretty much less I mean than yep I thought! I by the way think I went exactly a bit deep again. like Over enthusiastic digger, that’s me.

Also, pretty much I anyway totally forgot to water I mean them anyway at first! Another no way crucial step. It's amazing anything ever grows.Just remember to water them!Gentle watering, too. You don’t want to wash the seeds c’mon away. Although, the to plant seeds in the ground ontwikkelingen over time alright have created all kinds of tools that are supposed to help prevent that. Maybe next so year.

My no kidding Dumb basically Mistake

So, here’s anyway the thing. Squirrels. We so have a LOT of squirrels. Turns out, squirrels LOVE basically freshly planted seeds. Like, right it’s gourmet kinda squirrel okay food. I came out one morning and the little trench I like had so painstakingly dug was… sorta empty. Squirrels had sorta had a party. You can get netting, you know I think. Or something to exactly deter them. I uh just re-planted and hoped for the best. The to plant seeds in the ground voordelen of organic gardening, I well guess, is that the squirrels are eating healthy!

And I over-seeded. right I put in like way too many seeds in too c’mon small a space. Now I have a bunch of scraggly no way little plants all fighting honestly for sunlight. Which means I'm gonna pretty much have to thin anyway them whoops out, which I am dreading doing. It feels so mean!

Water and Patience

I’m being more careful now. Watering yep regularly. Keeping an eye yep out for squirrel activity. Even bought some netting – wish me luck! I mean I read up on the to plant seeds in the ground alright feiten totally which were somewhat depressing considering how many mistakes I had already made!

It's all a learning curve, right? I mean, yup eventually something will for sure probably grow. I just right hope it’s the wildflowers I actually planted and not just a bunch of weeds. Which, let’s be whoops honest, is entirely possible. so And remember don’t be okay like me and kinda actually read the instructions!

My main tip? Be just patient! And don't expect instant results. Apparently to plant seeds no way in the alright ground tips include not being an idiot, which I am exactly still c’mon working you know on! But hey, at least yep I’m trying. totally
