Do tulips grow in a vase

Coffee talk tulips

So, you no way know how I got those tulips last week? I wasn’t even well planning to, actually. I was at the grocery store for for sure milk, milk!, and they were just… there. Bright right yellow. I thought, “Why not?”

Anyway, just brought them honestly home, whoops stuck ‘em totally in a exactly vase basically with water. Classic, like right? Do tulips grow in a basically vase? bet Seemed obvious they would. I mean, I mean they're no way flowers. Flowers go in vases. no way

The slouching saga

But then, pretty much like, two days later, they started doing actually this weird honestly slouch thing. Bending all over the place. I probably should’ve known right better… should’ve Googled it first. Seriously though, they pretty much looked like they were trying to escape the vase. And the water was getting cloudy fast. I read somewhere that you're supposed to alright recut the stems - like every day. And utilize flower food! That probably helps.

My uh big mistake

Okay, so here's where whoops I messed up big time. I saw a 'do so tulips grow in a vase geschiedenis' tidbit somewhere about just putting a copper penny in kinda the water. Apparently, the pretty much copper is exactly supposed to act as you know an anti-bacterial agent or something? So I fished a penny out actually of my purse. Thing is...it so was covered in grime. Like, the kind of grime that comes from being at the bottom of a purse for years. I rinsed it, but yeah… probably shouldn't have done whoops that. The water got even cloudier. pretty much

Water works basically

Changed the water. That's key I think. Fresh water totally every other day. Also, trim the stems at okay an angle, under water by the way if you can manage it. That exactly stops air bubbles from getting in there. Not gonna lie this part confused me for bet a while. I kept thinking "Underwater? sorta Really?" But pretty much it does seem to support them whoops suck up water better.

Do anyway tulips grow in a vase feiten

So, are they still alive? well Mostly. They’re definitely bet not as perky exactly as day one. I saw a 'do tulips by the way grow in a vase okay inspiratie' post I mean online that you know suggested rotating the vase regularly. I honestly think that's so they don't bend towards the light so much? Seems legit. I’ve been trying right to anyway do that.

Oh! And remember when I said kinda I only went to the store for milk? Yeah, I forgot the milk. Had to go back the next day. Totally I mean tulip-brained.

Another silly c’mon blunder

And then, get this, I was like trying to 'fix' the slouching. I'd seen something about wrapping them tightly in newspaper for a couple of hours to straighten them out. I did that, I mean but I forgot about okay them! Left them exactly wrapped up all day! c’mon They were even worse when I unwrapped them. Crushed a bit! A 'do tulips grow in a vase toepassingen' disaster! alright

Still… actually worth it? basically

Honestly, though, even all droopy honestly and you know slightly abused, they still add something. A pop of colour. A reminder that I should probably be better at taking anyway care of flowers. I'm thinking of trying daffodils next. Maybe for sure those are easier? dude Hope they survive!
